Pinterest Software:
My software of choice for automation
You’re here because you’ve heard the hype around Pinterest but you might be feeling the burn of posting so many freaking times a day. Maybe some days it’s easier to be consistent but you’re looking to gain some of that time back. As a homeschooling mom of two active girls I can honestly say that automation is the number one thing my business relies on.
But the word automation can be a little misleading and if you are rocking your business, you know why. We do the research for the keywords. We create the layouts. We do the market research. We write out our board and pin descriptions. The word automation means using machines or computers instead of people to do the work. Why did I get so nerdy about the meaning of a word? I don’t want this idea of “automation” to paint a picture of ease and just pushing a button to put your Pinterest Marketing out there. It takes time, research, and adjustment, and more adjusting until you get what works right for you.
Ok, now that I got that nerdy disclaimer out there, we can move onto why you’re really here. What which Pinterest scheduler is best!
What are the options?
Now that we know what these programs can do for us, let’s take a look at what’s out there.
We’ll look at:
Buffer
Later.com
Canva Pro
Tailwind <—- My fave!
Now this is not all of them. There are many schedulers out there that I have not tried. The ones I will be going over I have tried and can only give personal experience on.
(No matter which one you choose, make sure it’s Pinterest Approved Partners. )
Buffer
Buffer is great for those of you wanting all your social media scheduling in one place. If you’re wanting to pin one pin to multiple boards, you’ll have to do that one at a time. You can create a pinning schedule and check the analytics easily.
Buffer also has an extension so you can pin images straight from your website.
Later
Very similar to Buffer this platform allow you to schedule other social media accounts.
And the same goes with Later as with Buffer, only one pin to one board at a time.
Canva Pro
If I had a dollar for every person who has asked if I use this new feature on Canva, well I’d have a lot! But seriously, I love when new features are rolled out for us to have multiple choices. I personally use it to design pins but not for publishing simply because it does not create an auto-posting schedule for your pins. And you must use images that are designed in Canva. To be clear, you can schedule your content on Canva but they do not provide a schedule.
Tailwind: My Professional Choice
Tailwind! Yeah, I’m sure you’re heard of it. But it really does live up to it’s hype. It has the capacity to schedule out so much content for your business it’s crazy not to utilize it. Their analytics are a great insight into top performing pins and boards. And their communities can make s huge difference in views on your pins.
A little anecdotal bunny trail here but in 2020 I worked with a client as their Pinterest Strategist and let’s just say the amount of content I was creating and pinning for their national brand was HUUUUUUUGE. They were in the food industry and the recipes they had on hand that were not being shared was incredible before I started sharing their content. Their account went from about 300 monthly views a month (something my personal account saw) to 32k/month. The website traffic and brand awareness was astounding. It was my pleasure to do that for their account and it’s a huge reason why I share these secrets with you! Your content deserves to be seen!
Tailwind has truly made as much of Pinterest Marketing as possible a hands off system. I can focus my time on batch creation and researching keywords. I mean it pins for me while I’m sleeping, feeding my kids, and during school pickup. Time I just don’t have.
1. Batch Upload Multiple Pins.
My main goal is to make Pinterest Marketing as easy as possible for you. And batch upload of your creations is one of the steps in making that happen. So being able to upload all of your pins for the month in one fell swoop can cut waaayyyyyy down the time you’re spending on Pinterest.
No other platforms that I have used or researched let’s you upload weeks worth of pins or repin weeks worth of other pins in one go. I usually have a stash of 20-30 pins in my drafts just waiting to be added. Which always feels nice to have a bank of content saved, right?
2. Multiple Pin to Multiple Boards
Tailwind creates a suggested pinning schedule for you, based on the number of pins you want pinned a day. And with is scheduler it allows you to pin each of your pins to multiple boards at a time. Making it much faster to fill your schedule for the coming month.
Now for the best news of all…..
